Vikær Strand Camping in Southern Jutland lies in beautiful surroundings right on the white sandy Diernæs Bugt beach. This is a prime spot on a sheltered sweep of a bay, backed by rolling dunes and, behind them an idyllic countryside crisscrossed by quiet country lanes.

There are 390 grass pitches (210 for touring units), off long gravel lanes, all with 10/16A electricity, some separated by low hedges. There are pitches with sea views and direct access to the beach. Forty newly developed, fully serviced pitches have electricity, water, drainage, TV aerial point and Internet. From these, and from the front pitches on the lower fields, there are marvellous views over the Diernæs Bugt.

A Blue Flag beach runs along one edge of the site, and it can be narrow in places. It is well used for beach games, paddling and swimming. For the active there are several routes for walking and cycling and, of course, sea fishing trips are possible. In the area are a newly developed swamp nature reserve, Schackenborg Castle and the battlefields of Dybbøl Banke.

Directions to Vikær Strand Camping

From German/Danish border follow E45 north. Take exit 69 and follow to Hoptrup. From Hoptrup follow to Diernæs and Diernæs Strand.
