Vale of Pickering is a level, well cared for park surrounded by beautiful countryside. The grassy banks that surround the park have, over the years, been partly hidden by foliage, trees and attractive flower beds, still give shelter from the wind. The family owners, who are local farmers, have put much thought into planning and designing their site and it is kept very neat and tidy. There are 120 pitches, of which 75 are for touring units, all with 10A electrical connections, plus further pitches for tents. This is an ideal base from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors.
Facilities at Vale of Pickering Caravan Park
The refurbished toilet block is tiled, heated and well maintained, providing some washbasins in cabins, showers (coin operated 20p) and a bath. Separate accessible toilet and washbasin . A new block with 6 shower rooms (1 with a bath) and an accessible wet room is scheduled to open in May 2015. Dishwashing sinks (2p for hot water). Launderette. Microwave. Motorhome services. Well stocked, licensed shop also stocking a few caravan accessories and gas (open according to demand in low season). Good play area and play field for football, etc. Boules pitch.
