Sonnencamp Gösselsdorfer See is a quiet, attractive site in a natural setting, bordering a small stretch of water connected to the Gösseldorfer See and its lakeside bathing facility (entry is free to campers). They are also joined through the woods by a 600 m. long path. The site has 300 mostly large, numbered pitches, they are level and nicely grassed, with tree shade in places. All have 10A electricity. The site is surrounded by mature trees and woodland, beyond which there are views of the mountains that separate Carinthia (Kärnten), an attractive region of mountains and lakes, from Italy and Slovenia to the south.

The site caters well for younger members of the family with many interesting activities for children, including campfire evenings, painting, paper chase etc. In addition, there are opportunities for cycling, walking and pony riding as well as guided excursions in the region, and on Saturdays a spit-roasted pig.

Two well maintained sanitary blocks have free hot water. Laundry room with sinks, washing machines and dryer. Shop (July/Aug). Restaurant with breakfast menu. Bar with takeaway. Play area. Directions to Sonnencamp Gösselsdorfer See

Leave Autobahn A2 at Volkermarkt West exit 288 and head east for 3 km. then south on the 82 for 10 km. through Eberndorf to Gösselsdorf, then turn right (signed Gösselsdorfer See). Site is a few hundred metres on the left.
