This high quality, friendly, family run seaside site is adjacent to a beautiful, long sandy beach. Skiveren Camping has 595 pitches (496 for tourers), all with 10/16A electricity and generally separated into named areas. A numbered of pitches are fully serviced, and chalets are available to rent. Around the site are different varieties of low spruce and fir which give the site a pleasing appearance and atmosphere. All of the amenities are of a very high standard and there is something to suit campers of all ages. A horse and cart can take campers for rides around the site, which has an excellent supermarket and restaurant (high season).

All three sanitary blocks look immaculate and the main block has an attractive, light blue children’s section in maritime style, with a lighthouse and a boat. The site has its own fitness centre with an outdoor pool, sauna, steam bath and solarium. However, this whole area is also great for a seaside holiday on the Ålbæk Bugt beaches. Other possibilities are walking and cycling on the surrounding moors or a visit to the interesting old harbour town of Skagen.

Three toilet blocks include free family showers and private facilities with shower, toilet and basin to rent (DKK 40-70). Accessible sanitary facilities, Laundry. Campers’ kitchens. Motorhome services. Car and caravan wash (charged). Supermarket. Strand Café for meals, drinks and takeaway (27/3-15/9). Outdoor pool (17/5-1/9) with paddling pool. Whirlpool and sauna. Playground with area for toddlers. Excellent new large indoor play hall. Multisports court. Tennis. Wellness centre. Gym. Games room with machines and wide screen TV. 2 large screens for video games. Bicycle hire. Minigolf (charged). Fishing. Horse and cart rides. Children’s club daily (from 16.00, July/Aug) and entertainment. Live music and dancing.

From the 40 road going north from Ålbæk, turn left at sign for ‘Skiveren’. Follow this road all the way to the end.
