Alan Rogers Review of Nant Mill Touring Caravan Park
This traditional style, family-owned and run park of around seven acres, takes some 115 units arranged over four fields. There are some distant sea views to be had from many pitches. These are carefully allocated to ensure that the largest, central, sloping field is reserved for families. Two small paddocks on the other side are for couples who might prefer a quieter, more level location. There are 85 electricity connections (10A). The pitches nearer the road may experience some noise.
The immaculate sanitary buildings are located in the central field and reception is at the farmhouse. Lighting is fairly minimal, being located at the service points and around the toilet block, therefore a torch is useful. Children have a designated ball games area and a very good, enclosed adventure playground on a bark surface. Small children might like to visit the duck pond at the rear of the farmhouse. The best beach is the Blue Flag Prestatyn central beach which is about half a mile from the site. Note: The main site gate is locked at night generally around dusk until 08.00 each morning. An alternative entry point is available during these hours. There is a length restriction of 26 ft. for touring vehicles.
Facilities at Nant Mill Touring Caravan Park
The main toilet block is older in style but very well kept, with showers, an ample number of open style washbasins and baby changing in both ladies’ and men’s rooms. Extra showers are in a small modern prefabricated unit alongside. Showers are free, with a £1 deposit for the cubicle key (return after each shower). A separate prefabricated unit with ramp provides a full accessible suite. Large utility room with washing machines, dryers, spin dryer, ironing facilities, together with sinks for hand washing and dishes plus a hairdressing station. Playground and play field. WiFi (free).
