Although mainly a holiday park with over 300 caravan holiday homes, Blue Anchor nevertheless offers good facilities for 103 touring units. Trailer tents are accepted but not other tents (other than pup tents with a touring booking). Virtually in a separate touring area, the level pitches all have 10A electricity and hardstanding for cars and motorhomes (with caravans going on the adjacent grass). A feature of the park is a good sized, irregularly shaped indoor swimming pool with an area for small children, complete with a mushroom shaped fountain. With views of the sea from the pool, it is heated and supervised. Although not actually within the park itself, there are restaurants and takeaways within easy walking distance.

The park’s situation, directly across the small road from the beach, is unusual and gives some beautiful views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales, although not visible from the pitches. Exmoor, the Quantocks and Minehead are close and the West Somerset Steam Railway runs along one side of the park. Part of the Hoburne Group.

Facilities at Hoburne Blue Anchor

Toilet facilities provide large, free hot showers (with pushbutton). Fully equipped launderette in a single, modern block serving just the touring area. Well stocked shop. Indoor heated swimming pool (free). Excellent adventure-style play area in a copse. Note: an unfenced river runs along one boundary of the park. Crazy golf. American motorhomes accepted (max. 36 ft). WiFi in reception.

Directions to Hoburne Blue Anchor

From M5 exit 25, take A358 signed Minehead. After 12 miles turn left onto A39 at Williton. After 4 miles turn right onto B3191 at Carhampton signed Blue Anchor. Park is 1.5 miles on right.
