Located on the shores of the enchanting Walchsee lake, Ferienpark Terrassencamping Süd-See is a terraced campsite with excellent panoramic views of the lake and Kaisergebirge mountains beyond. As well as 150 touring pitches, the site has two apartments available to rent. Lakeside pitches tend to be reserved for tourers, with the upper terraces taken up by seasonal/permanent caravans. Almost all pitches are hardstanding and shade is generally sparse.

Walchsee is the only lake in the Austrian Tyrol to permit waterskiing, and being relatively small and shallow, the water temperature average 23°C from May to September. The lake also hosts an aqua fun park on the Eastern shore, including a giant inflatable 'iceberg' ideal for hot summer afternoons with the kids.

From Munich, take the A8/Inntalautobahn motorway (A93), at exit 59 Oberaudorf (Germany) turn right and follow signs for Walchsee (9km) After the village of Durchholzen, look for signs for Walchsee and turn right.
