Alan Rogers Review of Chipping Norton Camping & Caravanning Club Site
Chipping Norton Camping & Caravanning Club site is perfect for exploring the pretty Cotswolds towns and their attractions. Amid the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds is where you will find this charming site. Tucked away off the beaten track, this site offers a mix of level and sloping pitches, surrounded by trees and dry-stone walls. Explore the beautiful surrounding area by car or catch the bus right outside the site. Discover the charms of Chipping Norton, Chadlington, Charbury and Witney. The site has 90 grass or hardstanding pitches (some seasonal) most of which have electric hook-up. There are also 5 safari tents.
N.B. Non-members are welcome and may join on site. Please speak to site staff for details and to check pitch availability before arrival.
No stay at Chipping Norton should be without a visit to Stow on the Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Batsford. As well as brimming with charm, they boast an eclectic mix of family attractions including Birdland and a model village in Bourton-on-the-Water. Batsford Arboretum and Hidcote Manor are also worth visiting. A Farmers’ Market takes place on the third Saturday of the month in Chipping Norton and there are several farm shops in the area.
