This site shares its name with Sicily’s premier attraction, the UNESCO World Heritage listed complex of temples and old city walls of the ancient town of Akragas, although these are about 2.5 km. to the north. Built as a beacon for homecoming sailors, the five Doric temples built on a ridge are an impressive sight even at a distance. This site is therefore a good base from which to explore these ruins, together with the numerous coach loads of tourists. With 180 unmarked pitches, about half are suitable for caravans and campers. The majority have access to 8A electricity.
The site occupies a sloping, suburban location and has a good swimming pool and sun deck (in use during high season). Tents pitch informally around the site. The modern, large town of Agrigento is about 4 km. and a regular bus service operates from outside the site.

The single sanitary block in the centre of the site provides WCs, showers and washbasins. Accessible Facilities. Motorhome services. Washing machine. Bar and takeaway service (seasonal). Swimming pool (1-July until end of the season). Playground. Free WiFi throughout.
Directions to Camping Valle dei Templi
From the main SS115 road or the SS640, follow signs to San Leone, just east of Agrigento. Site is on left just as you enter the town, 700 m. before the coast.
