Alan Rogers Review of Camping Tunnel International
This is a small, friendly site located near the southern exit of the Gran San Bernardo tunnel. The views from the site are really very pleasant with green hills and towering peaks all around. There is a distinct Italian feel about it and the young English-speaking owners, Ciro & Alice, are most welcoming and helpful. The site sits on two sides of a quiet road. There are 95 pitches, with 45 of mixed size for touring units, plus a special overnight area for motorhomes, opposite the main gate. All have electricity (6A Europlug) with drainage and water taps nearby. Some have shade and most are on terraces or gentle slopes. Two fully equipped, air-conditioned mobile homes are available to rent.
The main part has most of the facilities including a pretty building with a bar and terrace. The Village of Etroubles, which offers all the usual amenities, is a typical village in the Aosta Valley and in the old centre is an open-air museum where you can admire the monuments of 21 international artists, which is well worth a visit.
Facilities at Camping Tunnel International
The main toilet block is beneath the bar and has recently been refurbished, while the smaller block is central to the upper part of the site. WCs are mixed British and squat styles. Showers are modern in one block, outdoor in the other. Good accessible facilities, Laundry room with washer/dryer and baby changing. Motorhome services. Bar opening (1/6-15/9 and 26/12-6/1). New lounge with library. Playground. Communal barbecue. WiFi (free). Nightstop area for motorhomes with electricity and access to toilets. A small outdoor swimming pool.

“”Directions to Camping Tunnel International
From A5-E25 take Aosta turn and travel north on E27 towards Col de Gran San Bernardo. At Etroubles, site is signed on left, on a bend, just before the bridge. From the north, ignore first Campeggi sign as you descend the hill. In the village, cross river bridge, turn immediately right.
