Camping Toca Da Raposa is a small, terraced site at the foot of the Serra de Estrela Natural Park in Oliveira de Hospital and six-minute walk from the village of Meruge.  The site has 30 pitches for touring units that have a 6-amp hook-up point. There are also 8 chalets or tents available to hire. Many oak, pine, olive and hazelnut trees shade this peaceful site. You can easily explore the beaches along the River Alva which is a short drive away. 

There are many good hiking and mountain biking routes around the area, and there are plenty of places you can go, such as canoeing, climbing, fishing, and horse riding. Speak to the site staff for their top tips on the local area. Portugal’s former capital, Coimbra, is just an hour’s drive away from the site for those who fancy a day trip to have a wander around its preserved medieval city.

Directions to Camping Toca da Raposa

From the N17 join the N230 towards Oliveira Do Hospital, continue to follow the N230 in the direction of Lagares da Beira/Viseu until a roundabout and take the first exit in the direction of Meruge M504. Turn left at the blue site sign on the left. The site is on this road.
