Tucked away at the end of a single track road, this small and attractive site is ideally situated for visiting the old fishing port of Luarca. Set on a level plateau above the town, the site has views over the sea and the hills beyond. The 100 level grass pitches, all with 10A electricity, are numbered and separated by mature hedges and trees giving a good amount of shade. The modern sanitary facilities are housed in a single rustic building near the site entrance. The site owner, Rosa, and her family live in a building which also houses reception, a small shop, a restaurant and bar and she is always available to ensure visitors have an enjoyable stay at this tranquil site.

During July and August the site can be quite busy but at all times the ethos of maintaining the site in an ecological way and with no undue noise at any time is strictly adhered to.

One older style toilet block with modern WCs, washbasins and hot showers. Baby bath with changing mats. Accessible facilities. Washing machine and dryer. Motorhome services. Bar/restaurant. Shop. Small swimming pool (July/Aug). Accessible beach. No barbecues on pitches (communal area provided). Free WiFi at bar area. Dogs are not accepted.

Directions to Camping Taurán

From A8 auto route Gijon to A Coruña, leave at exit 465. Turn right at first roundabout then take third exit at second roundabout signed El Chano and camping. Do not take road into Luarca. Follow road and signs for 3 km. to site at end of narrow approach road.
