Alan Rogers Review of Camping Sant’ Antonio
A quiet place with very basic facilities, this little site is just across the road from Seiano marina and tiny beach (no views due to the high stone wall). The site would suit caravanners who like a peaceful (for Italy) location. There are only 60 pitches that are in shade offered by orange, lemon and walnut trees.
Pitches are reasonably flat and have 5A electricity and access to them is easy on the flat ground. Access to the site is challenging and unsuitable for larger units, down a long steep narrow curving road via a very sharp turn just after a tunnel and high overpass. The final entrance is through a covered opening in a stone wall.
In summer (mid-June to end-Sept.) there is a regular bus service to the Circumvesuviana railway which runs to Sorrento, Pompei, Herculaneum and Naples and it is possible to catch a boat to Capri. English is spoken by the Maresca family, who run the site.
Facilities at Camping Sant’ Antonio
The single sanitary block provides hot and cold showers, washbasins and British style WCs. Hot water is on payment. Small shop, bar and restaurant. Dogs are not accepted in August.
Directions to Camping Sant’ Antonio
Take route SS145 from Castellamare towards Sorrento. Just 100 m. after tunnel bypass around Vico Equense, just after a right hand bend watch for very hard right turn into a very narrow road for Seiano beach and follow signs.
