Alan Rogers Review of Camping Rio Verde
This is a very peaceful and straightforward campsite located in a wooded valley with plenty of shade. There are 50 informally arranged pitches with 6A electricity connections. Some pitches are a little uneven and the site slopes in parts. Amenities include a small, fenced swimming pool (with lifeguard) and a restaurant serving simple food from the region. This campsite is ideal for outdoor activity enthusiasts. The area is also excellent for hill walking and mountain biking, with a pleasant excursion possible up Monte Catria where wild horses graze on the lower slopes.
Other than the attractions of the mountains, Fabriano is a picturesque little town, and there is an old Roman settlement at Gubbio.
Facilities at Camping Rio Verde
A large, modern toilet block is a short walk. Facilities include British and squat style toilets and free showers. Accessible facilities, (key from reception). Small shop. Restaurant. Swimming pool (mid June-Sept, hats compulsory). Play areas. Five-a-side. Riding. Chalets to rent. Communal barbecue. WiFi (free).
