Camping Residence Capo Passero is located on the southeast point of Sicily. There are often nice sea breezes at the campsite, which has a clean and well maintained appearance, although when we visited the shade was patchy due to the Italian custom of trimming trees aggressively. The 200 touring pitches are generally level and all have 6A electricity connections. The sandy beach, only 50 m. walk away, is inviting and there is a very good pool area with grassy areas to sunbathe. The nearby village is quite interesting and has a number of restaurants and bars.

This is a good site for this region, there is a bar, mini-market, a restaurant with terrace and some sporting facilities. However, typically for Sicily, there are few hot showers and these are only provided during certain time periods so may be difficult to access in peak season. There are some local ruins and a port/marina close by.

Facilities at Camping Residence Capo Passero

Three older style toilet blocks, all clean when visited, have washbasins but only cold showers. There are six warm showers near reception (token). Accessible Facilities in one block. Shop (1/5-20/9). Attractive restaurant (1/6-25/8) and bar area. Excellent pool with grassy sunbathing area (July/Aug). Good play area. Disco area. Boules. Tennis. Good access to gently shelving sandy beach. WiFi on part of site (free).

Directions to Camping Residence Capo Passero

From SS115 road follow signs to Pachino, then Portopalo di Capo Passero. Site is located west of the town on the beach and there are some signs from the village. Low bridges may cause problems on some routes.
