Alan Rogers Review of Camping Osebos
Family run, Camping Osebos is a quiet, attractive and well kept terraced site with a southerly aspect in the Dutch mountains. There are 215 touring pitches, all with electricity, 90 of which have fresh water, waste water and TV connections. They are level, grassed and set in rows on terraces or in groups, on the lower part of the site. From the pitches there are extensive views of the surrounding countryside with its rolling, partially tree-clad hills. There is walking and cycling directly from the site and many picturesque villages to visit in this attractive, less well known, southern part of Holland closely bordering Belgium and Germany.
This is essentially a site for couples and families who enjoy peace and quiet, where one can relax by the pool, enjoy a meal or drink on the terrace of the bar/restaurant, and explore the surrounding countryside with its villages, castles, caves and gardens. From Maastricht there are boat trips on the Maas. Reception, where good English is spoken, contains a wealth of tourist information, including cycling and walking routes; in addition there is a stand with many cards giving a discount on entry charges. Situated half way between the towns of Maastricht and Aachen, the site is also an ideal location from which to visit these historically interesting towns.

Three heated sanitary blocks contain free showers, washbasins (open and in cabins), family showers and a new, separate children’s/baby facility. Laundry facilities, washing machine, dryer plus ironing. Motorhome services. Shop, bar/restaurant, takeaway. Outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool. Play areas. Children’s entertainment in summer. Sports pitch. Bicycle hire. Max. 2 dogs.
Directions to Camping Osebos
Site is halfway between Maastricht and Aachen, just south of N278. Leave E25/A2 motorway at exit 54 (Europaplein) and head east towards Aachen on N278. In 3.5 km. after Margraten, on the descent to Gulpen, turn south towards Beutenaken. After 400 m. at bottom of hill, site is to the right.
