Camping Orchidea is an immaculate family-owned site on the western bank of Lake Maggiore, 35 km. south of the Swiss border and 8 km. from Stresa. This site has direct access to the lake and the banks of the River Stronetta and has a sandy beach. Orchidea has a good range of modern amenities, including a shop, bar and restaurant. Watersports are understandably popular here, and pedaloes and kayaks can be rented on-site.

The 234 touring pitches are grassy and generally well-shaded, with 6A electrical connections. Some pitches are available facing the lake (a supplement is charged in mid and peak season). There are apartments and mobile homes available for rent.

Stresa, nearby, is an important town with 5,000 inhabitants and has a harbour with regular boat trips to the Borromean islands, and also a cable car to the summit of Monte Mottarone, passing the stunning Giardino Botanico Alpinia, world renowned mountain gardens. This site would suit families who prefer a simple and peaceful holiday.

Directions to Camping Orchidea

Take the Baveno/Stresa exit from the A26 (autostrada dei Trafori) and head north on the Via Sempione. In Feriolo follow signs to the campsite.
