Ligüerre de Cinca, a medieval village abandoned when the El Grado reservoir was constructed, is being regenerated for tourism. It is situated near the Ordesa National Park, in a beautiful region of the Pyrenees mountains and has the advantage of being open all year. Attractive traditional style buildings house the reception, small shop, bar, restaurant and takeaway. The swimming and paddling pools are surrounded by grass sunbathing areas with wonderful mountain views. There are 150 small, terraced, level pitches marked out and shaded by tall trees. These include 110 for touring units, all with 10A electricity (long leads may be needed).

Sanitary facilities on the site are basic but clean. There are some facilities for children but nothing for visitors with disabilities. The site is in a wonderful location in the Pyrenees and when we visited towards the end of May fresh snow gleamed from the mountain tops. An extensive range of water activities and sports take place on the reservoir which is next to the site and long distance walking and cycling trails lead directly from the site into the mountains. This is a good centre for adventurous sports (rock climbing, white water rafting, canyoning) and the village of Ligüerre is within walking distance.

Adequate central toilet block with a smaller one on the periphery can be heated in cool weather. Small shop, bar, restaurant, takeaway (all year). Swimming and paddling pools (June-Sept). Miniclub (July/Aug). Multisports court. Tennis. Boules. Playground. Fishing and watersports, boat storage. Organised watersports including courses. Walking from site on GR1. Barbecues are not allowed. ATM.. Internet access. WiFi at reception (free).

Site is north of El Grado between El Grado and Ainsa on the N138 at km. 28. From the Tunnel de Bielsa at the French/Spanish border, go south on N138, through Ainsa. Site is on left in 20 km. at km. 28.
