This well-maintained, family-run site, west of Santander, is walking distance from the quaint little fishing port of Cudillero with wonderful fish restaurants and jauntily painted houses. This is a great base for exploring the verdant ‘green Spain’. Nearby is some of the most attractive mountain scenery in the region, with plenty of gorgeous cycling and walking routes that lead you through stunning, lush countryside.

There are around 192 pitches, with 40 good-sized touring pitches on level or gently sloping grass with easy access. Some pitches can accommodate large units. Mature trees give some shade, and all pitches have 6A electricity. This site is relatively quiet but can be busy and noisy at weekends when the seasonal units tend to be occupied. The spectacular Costa Verde, and its myriad sandy beaches and little coves, has many places to explore, and the towns of Gigon and Oviedo are fascinating places that are not to be missed.

One modern and very well maintained toilet block is close to all pitches and includes washbasins and shower cubicles. Accessible Facilities. Washing machines and dryers. Well stocked shop. Café/bar area. Swimming pool (June-Sept). Play area. Very little English is spoken. Gas and charcoal barbecues permitted. Free WiFi in bar area. 19 bungalows for hire.

Directions to Camping l’Amuravela

From A8 take exit 425 (Muros de Nalon). At roundabout take N632 towards Cudillero. After 3 km. turn right onto CU2 signed El Pito. Site is well signed on right in 2 km. On no account take caravans into Cudillero.
