This site, alongside its associated ten-room hotel, is beautifully positioned on terraces across a road from the shores of the Lago de Barasona (a large reservoir), with views of hills and the distant Pyrenees. The very friendly, English-speaking owners are keen to please and have applied very high standards throughout the site. The attractive, grassy pitches are fairly level and generally around 100 sq.m. Pitches for larger units are also available. All have 6/10A electricity, many are well shaded and most have great views of the lake and/or mountains. Water-skiing and other watersports are available in July and August.

You may swim and fish in the lake which has a shallow area extending for around 20 m. If you prefer, the site has an attractive L-shaped outdoor pool plus the pleasant rectangular pool in the hotel (these open from as early as April when the weather is often quite warm). There are two excellent restaurants in high season, one in the hotel (open all season), the other with a pretty terrace with wonderful views (high season only), the menu and cooking specialising in the regional cuisine. A disco and bar area is well away from the site by the lakeside. Helpful local information and publications are available from reception where English is spoken.

Two toilet blocks in modern buildings have high standards and hot water throughout including cabins (3 for women, 1 for men). Accessible facilities, Shop (all season). Bar/snack bar and a good restaurant (all season), with a second in high season. Swimming pools (1/6-30/9). Tennis. Mountain bike hire. Miniclub (high season). Maps provided for walking and cycling. Money exchange. Mini-disco. Fitness centre with sauna, jacuzzi and gym. WiFi in some areas (free).

Directions to Camping Lago Barasona

Site is east of Huesca on the west bank of Lake Barasona, close to km. 25 on the N123A, 6 km. south of Graus (about 80 km. north of Lleida/Lerida). Travelling from the south, the site is on the left from a newly built roundabout and slip road. Site is accessed via a service road next to the main road.
