Alan Rogers Review of Camping Karda Beach
The popular holiday island of Corfu offers many sporting and leisure activities and access to it is easy, and comparatively cheap, via one of the many ferries from either Igoumenitsa or one of the Italian ports serving the Greek mainland. Camping Karda Beach offers a quiet low season site with excellent facilities, close to the beach and the island’s main town, Kerkyra. It also offers a popular high season site for families and those looking for good weather, good beaches and lots of activities close at hand. It has 101 good grassy pitches of which 95 are for touring units, all with electricity (16A Europlug), under tall trees.
They are clearly marked with flowering shrubs and have 16A electricity and water on each pitch. The half hourly bus from outside the site serves Kerkyra and other towns on the northern coast. The Karda Grove complex between the site and the beach houses a bar, restaurant and a pool, and this is open all day. At the beach, just two minutes walk away, you can anchor a boat or hire a speedboat or pedalo and there are various water sports nearby.
Facilities at Camping Karda Beach
Two excellent toilet blocks include showers, WCs and washbasins. Accessible Facilities. Fridges. Laundry. Bakery at about 50 meters from the campsite and a supermarket at about 150 meters from our entrance. Swimming pool with sunbeds (1/5-5/10). Play area and pool. Bungalows to rent. WiFi on part of site (free).
Directions to Camping Karda Beach
From the ferry terminal turn right initially signed Paleokastritsa. After 8 km. turn right at traffic lights signed Dassia. Go through Dassia and site is on the right after 3 km. just after a right hand bend.
