Camping It Wiid is surrounded by water and has easy access to the famous Frisian lakes. On-site, it is possible to rent sailing boats and motorboats or you can moor your own. The site has 300 touring pitches, all with 4-16A electricity. Of these, 90 have water, wastewater and cable as well. Pitching is on level, grassy fields with shade from mature trees and hedges. There are 12 hardstanding pitches for motorhomes, all fully serviced. To the far edge of the site is a spit of land where you can camp surrounded by water, and from where there are great views over the Fokkesloot water. Cars are parked away from pitches.

It Wiid has an open-air pool with a water slide and fun paddling pool. The central building is next to the water and houses a theatre, a sub-tropical pool with jacuzzi, jet stream and paddling pool and a sports hall. In high season, the site offers a full entertainment programme. At the central building is a jetty where touring boats and Skutsjes (special Frisian sailing boats) leave for tours through the Alde Feanen nature reserve.

There is one older sanitary blocks, plus two new, heated blocks with washbasins and adjustable hot showers. Baby room. Facilities for children and accessible facilities. Laundry. Motorhome services. Directions to Camping It Wiid

From channel ports you can either go north from Amsterdam via A7/E22 through Leeuwarden towards Drachten, or east from Amsterdam via A6, onto A7 at sign for Leeuwarden/Groningen, then onto N31 at sign for De Haven/Drachten. On N31 take exit for Earnewald and follow site signs.
