This is a very attractive and well-kept site in a beautiful location by the Ionian Sea, created from former farmland by the Fligos family. Much has changed since they welcomed their first guests in 1982 when they still left plenty of space for growing potatoes. Now it is a modern site with a large pool and a paddling pool, and two blocks of apartments to rent. Separated by various trees and oleander bushes, there are 210 pitches of 80-100 sq.m, all with 16A electricity. Those at the front of the site enjoy views over the sea and the island of Zakinthos.

The campsite has its own beach bar for snacks and exotic cocktails, and there is also a delightful restaurant with a good menu serving Greek specialities. Motorhome owners should be aware that public transport in the area is poor, but it is possible to arrange car and motorcycle hire at the site.

Three excellent sanitary blocks with British style WCs, and showers with washbasins in cabins. Accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Turkish style chemical disposal point. Laundry room. Shop, bar, restaurant (approx April-October). Swimming pool (no depth markings) and paddling pool (approx May-October). Excellent play area. WiFi over site (charged).

Directions to Camping Ionion Beach

From Patra head south on E55 towards Pyrgos. At sign for Vartholomio, turn right in town centre, then right at sign for Glyfa and Ionion Beach. In 15 km. campsite sign is on right. Coming from the north of Greece, there is a toll for the Korinthian Gulf bridge.
