This is a modern and efficiently run site very near the Fréjus tunnel. The site was chosen to host guests for the winter Olympics of 2006, thus the amenities are very good in an area of notoriously poor campsites. A family site, now being run by the keen younger generation, Gran Bosco has many attractive features, including a smart bar/restaurant with terrace within the clean, modern building just inside the entrance, and everything is open all year. The 60 undefined touring pitches are at both ends of the site, all have 6A electricity and are on flat ground with some shade. Long leads may be required.

Some entertainment is offered in July and August and there is also a popular children’s club operated by professionals. This is a great site for visiting the area, skiing in winter or just taking a break before tackling the Fréjus tunnel or relaxing after the taxing journey.

Facilities at Camping Gran Bosco

Two modern, well appointed toilet blocks (with piped music) are well placed on the site. Clean WCs are mainly squat with some British style. Showers are excellent. Superb accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Large bar and pleasant restaurant open every day and used by local people. Play area. Games/wet weather room. Entertainment in high season. Children’s club. Electric barbecues are not permitted. WiFi close to reception. Torches useful.

Directions to Camping Gran Bosco

Site is east of the Italian exit of the Fréjus tunnel. From A32 Torino-Fréjus autoroute take Oulx East exit. Turn east towards Turin on the SS24 and site is at km. 75 which is 2 km. from the Oulx exit.
