Alan Rogers Review of Camping El Puente
Situated in the world famous Parc de la Sierra y los Canyons de Guara in Aragon, this specialised site for canyoning and climbing is predominantly a site for groups of young people. There are 71 basic pitches, shaded by mature trees, with just 12 electric points (6A) for which very long leads are needed. The basic restaurant, bar and shop are open all season with very restricted opening times especially in low season. A professional team of guides is available for hire, as is all the necessary equipment for you to experience the thrills of around 100 superb canyons in the area.
A purpose-built barbecue area is provided under a covered eating area. Just outside the gate is a beautiful, ancient bridge under which the waters of the Alcanadre river flow. These provide a swimming and paddling area with open access by steps from the site; children should be closely supervised at all times. The pretty village of Rodella is 1 km. away. The National Park provides a multitude of active and cultural pursuits, from white water rafting to bird watching and hiking on the marked long distance footpaths.

One sanitary block has mature facilities in need of maintenance and upgrading. Hot showers. Cold water at washing sinks, hot for dishwashing. Motorhome services. Washing machines. Shop. Restaurant. Bar. Snack bar. Covered barbecue area. Open access to river. Fishing. Canyon guides and canyoning and climbing equipment for hire.
Directions to Camping El Puente
From the N240 (Lleida-Huesca), 15 km. west of Barbastro take A1229 towards Abiego, then A1227 to Abiego and Bierge. Finally take the HU341 to Las Aluminas and continue to Rodellar. Site is well signed 1 km. before the village. The village streets are unsuitable for caravans and motorhomes.
