Camping De Ruimte is a family run site with 97 spacious touring pitches. Of these, 14 are serviced with fresh water and sewerage connections. The site extends to over six hectares with open spaces and wooded areas. It is possible to pitch in either the wooded parts or in open fields with play areas in the centre. The campsite also offers well equipped wooden bungalow style accommodation and pre-erected family size tents. A small shop, dining area and cosy bar cater for most needs. Children will be well entertained by the recreation team.

The area around the campsite is a haven for wildlife, it is situated in Flevoland’s oldest forest where red deer and numerous birds of prey can be observed. The wetlands of the Oostvaardersplassen are close, with its wide variety of resident and migratory birds. A large theme park where the young at heart can let of steam can be reached by bicycle from the campsite, as can the towns of Elberg and Kampen. Bicycles can be hired from the campsite. The cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is within easy reach by car.

Directions to Camping De Ruimte

Site is 80 km. east of Amsterdam. From Amsterdam on the A6 eastbound take exit 10 towards Lelstad then the N309 towards Dronten. Continue on towards Elburg and turn left on Lake Veluwe (just before the bridge). Follow signs to Space camp.
