Capo d’Orso is a large, attractive, terraced site with views of the Maddalena Archipelago. Set into a hillside that slopes down to the sea, the 450 terraced pitches (40-80 sq.m) are of gravel, grass and sand, some with views over the sea and some others set alongside the beach. All have 3A electricity. Access to the pitches is good despite the rocky terrain. Cars are parked away from the pitches in high season. The very Italian restaurant at the top of the amenities building serves delicious meals and has a covered terrace giving excellent sea views. This site is suitable for families.

The two beaches are delightful, with fine sand and clear waters. Good English is spoken and the staff are friendly and helpful. Capo d’Orso has an extensive entertainment programme and a huge array of activities, many with instructors on site. Look for the ‘rock bear’ from which the site takes its name.

Three toilet blocks are being renovated and will provide ample facilities, including hot showers and WCs. Accessible facilities, Motorhome services. Shop. Bazaar. Bar/restaurant. Pizzeria. Takeaway. Scuba diving, windsurfing, sailing school, boat excursions, boat hire and moorings (all main season). Tennis. Entertainment programmes for children and adults. Excursions arranged in high season. Directions to Camping Capo d’Orso

Site is 5 km. from Palau, in the northeast of Sardinia. On the SS133 Porto Pozzo-Cannigione road. It is well signed towards the beach.
