Ashbourne Camping & Caravanning Club site is ideal if you are planning a holiday in the Peak District. Known locally as the gateway to Dovedale, the lovely site has 70 pitches spread over three fields, two of which offer hardstanding pitches and a third with grass pitches. Some are seasonal and most have electric hook-up. The site also as a self-catering apartment and a camping cabin. The Self-Catering Apartment offers accommodation adjacent to the site. The camping cabin is family and group friendly and caters for all weather glamping. The Tissington Trail starts in Ashbourne and is one of several traffic-free and family-friendly walking and cycle trails in the area. Carsington Water is also close to the site with walking and cycling routes, an adventure playground, bird watching and water-based sports. There are short footpath walks from the site itself.

A single toilet block provides showers, washbasins & wc’s. Accessible sanitary facilities, Laundry. Dish washing area. Family shower room. Motorhome service point. Children’s play area. Ball games area. Pets allowed. Dog walk. Ice pack freezer. Battery charging. Bus stop 100 metres. The site shop sells gas, locally made organic sausages, bacon and eggs, also Matlock Meadows Ice Cream. Belper Farmers Market runs on the second Saturday of every month. Fine cheese shop. Earliest arrival 13.00. Wi-Fi charged.
Directions to Ashbourne Camping & Caravanning Club Site
Do not follow your sat nav when close to the site. From the A517 Ashbourne/Belper road, the site is on the right a little further on after the Bradley junction. From Belper on A517 the site is on this road, turn left after the village of Hulland. If travelling from Derby on A52, do not turn right at Brailsford to avoid very narrow roads.
