Alan Rogers Review of Alpencamp Marienberg
Alpencamp Marienberg is located in the summer and winter holiday paradise of the Tiroler Zug-spitzarena near the town of Biberwier (the name Biberwier derives from the beavers that lived in this area). Even today, real beavers cavort on the mountain streams of the village. The Marienberg is a perfect ski area for families and beginners. Cross-country skiers and winter hikers enjoy the extensive network of cross-country trails and the cleared hiking trails. In summer, turquoise mountain and bathing lakes, the longest summer toboggan run in Tyrol and the scooter track on the Marienberg attract with monster scooters and mountain carts. Nature lovers and ambitious athletes can set out on well-signposted hiking trails, mountain bike routes and scenic mountain trails. Whether you are looking for peace and relaxation or want to spend an active sports holiday, this is the place for you. The site has 75 hardstanding touring pitches each with electric hook-up point 16 amp.
Enjoyment can be experienced in many different facets in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. In addition to the untouched nature and the magnificent mountain panorama, the cuisine on the Tyrolean side of the Zugspitze is also unique. Taste local and homemade delicacies, eat and drink in unusual places or take part in one of the culinary events.
