Alan Rogers Review

Les Secrets de Camargue is part of the same group as la Petite Camargue and les Petits Camarguais, and is of the same high standard. Les Secrets, however, is rather special for two reasons: firstly, it is reserved for over 18s and for families with children under 3 years old; secondly, it is environmentally aware and the identity of the Camargue area is maintained by careful planting and the use of thatch and timber. This can be clearly seen in the pool area, which appears to blend seamlessly into the sand dunes beyond. In total there are 177 pitches with 26 for touring units (with 10A electricity) on level sandy grass. The remainder of the pitches are for mobile homes and chalets all with thatched roofs and carefully landscaped.

The heart of the site is the Lodge Club overlooking the pool area with its wooden decking, and housing the site’s bar and restaurant. It is also here that musical evenings, theme nights and card and board games are organised. The nearest beach, L’Espiguette, is just 1.5 km. away and is said to be one of the largest in the south of France. Visitors are also able to enjoy the facilities of the other two sites.
