Wood Farm is an excellent, family run park, maintained to high standards on terraced, well landscaped ground with rural views across the Marshwood Vale. With an indoor heated pool, tennis court, fishing lakes and a good café open all day, it is well worth a visit. All 149 pitches for touring units have hardstanding and 10 amp electricity, while 57 also have water and waste water. The ground slopes, so most pitches are terraced with some divided by distinctive, box-like leylandii hedging. Around 80 privately owned caravan holiday homes are in separate areas at the bottom of the site whilst 3 are available to let as is a self contained apartment.

Excellent provision is made for disabled visitors, although there is considerable up and down walking due to the terrain. Situated on the western side of Charmouth beside the A35 (some road noise should be expected), the park is only a mile or two from Lyme Regis and its beaches. This area is part of England’s first natural World Heritage site, the Jurassic Coast. Wood Farm is part of the Caravan Club’s Affiliated Scheme (non-members are also very welcome). Wood Farm has been in the hands of the same family for over 40 years. A member of the Best of British group.

Four modern, well equipped, heated toilet blocks include some excellent, new en-suite shower rooms. Good accessible sanitary facilities. Baby care unit. Two laundry rooms. Motorhome services. Shop by reception. Super conservatory cafe with sun terrace and viewing area for the swimming pool serving breakfasts, lunch and afternoon tea. Takeaway food vans visit 2-3 evenings per week. Good heated indoor pool and outdoor tennis court (charged). Games room with soft ball area, table tennis and pool table. Outdoor draughts. Play field. Two coarse fishing ponds. Wi-Fi throughout the park (charged).
