Widemouth has a wonderful situation on the edge of Widemouth Bay amidst rural farmland. Covering 50 acres in total, a number of areas have mobile homes carefully fitted into the hillside. There are some 180 touring pitches on undulating meadowland at the top of the hill, with 16A electricity available and some level hardstandings. The views are magnificent. The sandy beach, just a 15 minute walk away, is very popular with bathers and surfers and the indoor heated swimming pool is a bonus. This is a big and lively park in season, very well catered for with a well stocked shop, a bar serving food and nightly entertainment for children and parents.
Bude is some ten minutes away by car and Tintagel is close enough to visit if the tales of King Arthur, Merlin and the round table interest you; otherwise Port Isaac is the ‘Port Wenn’ of the Doc Martin TV series. A regular local bus service operates from outside the Manor Hotel. In the main season you go to the touring field to book in with the wardens.
