Located in the grounds of an elegant country estate, this is a popular park. In an attractive, sheltered area of the parkland, set in the trees, are 95 pitches, 70 with hardstanding and 10/12A electricity. Outside the peak season, the site may not be fully open, and some facilities such as the bar and café may not be available. Westport House and an adventure park are nearby on the estate and campsite visitors get a 20 per cent discount on all tickets. There are also special family rates for three days camping, along with an annual pass to the adventure park.
Free activities available on site include a recreation room, tennis, table tennis, pitch and putt, fishing, Pirates Den (soft play area), playground, sand pit, movie nights and teen disco at weekends. Additionally, there is Westport House, an 18th-century historic home with original architecture, antiques and art as well as tours and tea rooms. Pirate Adventure Park with a range of rides for children including the Pirates Plunge (log flume), Pirate Ship (thrills and chills ride); Treasure Island Express (miniature railway); Cannon Ball Run (slippery dip slide); swan pedalo boats and bouncy castle, Pik-a-Pot and Paint, outdoor adventure activities etc. Tours of house and entry to Pirate Park are charged.
