Alan Rogers Review

For caravans, motorcaravans and trailer tents only, this is the ideal stopover for anyone heading either north or south, close to the M6 motorway, but far enough away for the traffic noise not to be too disturbing. There are 80 level pitches on gravel, divided into bays of about six or seven units (25 are for touring units, five with water and drainage). All the touring pitches have 16A electricity. The bays are backed by grassy banks alive with rabbits and birds – a long list in the office describes the large variety of birds to be seen on the site. There is good site lighting and a late arrivals area.

The park is situated in beautiful countryside making it a good choice for spending an extra day or two in the area, although on-site facilities are limited. Barbecues are not permitted because of the wooded surroundings. Unusually the service station is family owned and the farm shop sells local produce, which is also served in the café and coffee shop.

The heated toilet block is basic but kept very clean and includes washbasins and showers. Bathroom for disabled visitors with ramped access. Family room. Laundry. Reception sells gas. Dog walk. Large RVs must book (£5 supplement).
