Alan Rogers Review
This well shaded and wooded site is located on the banks of Lac de l’Aureilhan (with a road in between), just 10 km. from the Atlantic beaches. The natural surroundings of the lake shore provide many cycling and walking tracks, together with a sandy beach. This is a mobile home park (most privately owned). They do not accept touring units, but the sister site does and is just a little way along the same road.
Facilities for sport and activities are excellent, with a heated swimming pool, two well cared for tennis courts, volleyball and basketball pitches, bicycle hire and more.
Four traditional toilet blocks provide washbasins in cabins, showers and British style toilets. Ramped facilities for disabled visitors. (key provided). Laundry. Heated swimming pool (May-Sept). Games room. Multisports area. Minigolf. Bicycle hire (July/Aug). Fishing (licence from Mimizan). Sandy play area with good equipment for young children. Miniclub (4-12, 13-17 yrs) and evening entertainment (July/Aug). Barbecues are not permitted (communal area provided).
From the north (Bordeaux, 110 km) take A63 towards Bayonne. Leave at exit 16 (Labouheyre). Follow signs to Mimizan. After passing through St Paul-en-Born, turn right signed Aureilhan and site. Continue to stop sign and turn left. Go through village to lake, turn right down promenade to site.Link to campsite location map on google
