Alan Rogers Review

This park appeals to many because of its proximity to the impressive and historic town of Kilkenny. It is terraced with the lower terrace to the right of the wide sweeping driveway laid out with 20 hardstanding pitches for caravans. All pitches have 10A electricity hook-ups, and plenty of water points are to be found. There are 13 full service pitches. On the higher level is a grass area for hikers and cyclists, with further caravan and tent pitches sited on grass near the elevated sanitary block. There is some road noise, which can be distracting.

If needed, more grass pitches face reception, which is housed in a wooden chalet. There are mature trees at the entrance and around the site perimeter; many shrubs have been effectively placed, together with some flower troughs. On the patio there are bench seats with tables and umbrellas. Tree Grove is within walking distance of medieval Kilkenny, known for its elegance and famed for its beer and cats. There is much to see and do around the ancient city (1.5 km) with its cobbled streets and castle. County Touring Routes are worth following.
