Alan Rogers Review
This Caravan Club site at Tewkesbury is very popular, within five minutes walk of the town centre and overlooked by the Norman Abbey. Covering nine acres, the site has 138 pitches reached by tarmac roads. All are on grass, but some slope so blocks are essential, and all have 16A electric hook-ups. The entrance to the site is locked at night but there is a late arrivals area just outside. A popular site and one of the largest operated by the Caravan Club with friendly and helpful wardens.
It is a good base for exploring the eastern end of the Cotswolds as well as some of the country’s most delightful towns. Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Norton and Broadway are just a few that immediately spring to mind. The Malvern hills are also within driving distance.
Three heated toilet blocks are well maintained. The one in the reception building is without showers. One block has facilities for disabled visitors and two have laundry rooms. Motorcaravan services. Reception sells basic supplies and gas.
