A lovely site set just outside Redruth in the Tolskithy Valley and ideal for St Agnus and touring South & West Cornwall. Access is easy, although the site is on a steep incline.
You will find the 28 pitches level grass or hardstanding with EHU available, divided by low natural hedging and banks of wildflowers throughout the site, as well as several unique wood sculptures around the park. In addition to the 28 touring pitches, the site offers a varied selection of accommodation from Mobile Homes/Cottages (two of which are specially adapted for those less mobile) and two Wig Wam Glamping Pods with designated B.B.Q areas.
A large open space at the centre of the site incorporates a play area with a trampoline and picnic tables and is an excellent place for family gatherings. Should the Cornish weather prevent outdoor activities, there is also a games room. Reception houses a small but well-stocked shop with a small selection of wines, beers, and local produce, and close by in Redruth is a good selection of major supermarkets. The facilities block has just been replaced and was very modern and clean and easily accessible.
The best aspect of this site is its Green Credentials, having won several awards, including a David Bellamy Gold for Conservation. As you would expect, E.V. charging is available.
The nearest beach is at Portreath which has a deep rock pool for swimming at low tide. There is a request bus stop outside the entrance for Truro, Saint Ives and Newquay. This is surfing country but you can also windsurf at Saint Stithian’s reservoir. Tehidy Country Park (250 acres of woodland) is nearby, together with Tehidy Golf Club.
