Alan Rogers Review

Swanage Coastal Park has a stunning location with views over Swanage Bay and the Purbeck Hills. Owned by Shorefield Holidays, it offers a quiet holiday on the hills above the town with its lovely sandy beach. Over 100 caravan holiday homes are on terraces up the hillside, two-thirds being privately owned. Near the entrance are six touring pitches, with a further five by the central toilet block. All have 6A electricity. Larger units may find access roads difficult to negotiate with parked cars and tight bends. It is advisable to telephone in advance for availability. In high season a large field is provided for tents (no electricity).

Swanage is at the start of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, and there is direct access to the coastal paths and to Durlston Country Park and Castle.

Two toilet blocks, one old but clean and the other newer with all the usual facilities. Laundry room. Play area. Membership of the Health and Fitness Club at the next door park allows use of the indoor pool, gym, sauna, solarium, bar and restaurant as paying customers (open all year). It also has a shop (open B.Hs. and high season). Eurostyle tents and holiday homes to rent.
