This seaside park is located on 20 acres of undulating grass on a sandy base, with natural protection from the coastal breezes of the famous Strandhill beach. There are 55 hardstanding pitches for caravans and motorhomes, with electricity and ample water points, and two camping areas for tents, one with views of the sea and the second more sheltered. Throughout the site, many hollows provide ideal pitches for tents. Strandhill, world recognised as a surfing Mecca, also offers activities for all the family. There are miles of sandy beach and dunes, and the Knocknarea Mountain is a popular choice for walkers.
The Megalithic Tombs at Carrowmore, older than the Pyramids at Giza, are 5 km. away and the flat beach at Culleenmore is 2 km. Strandhill provides an excellent touring base for the Benbulban, Yeats’ Country and Lough Gill’s Isle of Inisfree combining nature, heritage, and fable. There are two flights daily into nearby Sligo airport.
