Alan Rogers Review

Michael and Nancy Broadley now own and run this good, modern, well drained site just outside the lovely village of Martock. There are 25 touring pitches on grass with a gravel access road, 22 with 10A electricity and two with water and drainage. It is an orderly, quiet park on two acres of flat, tree lined meadow near the River Parrett. Despite the rural setting, the A303 trunk road is just five minutes away making this a good stopover or for a longer stay to explore this very interesting area. Also, there is an on-site NCC-approved caravan repair/servicing centre.

This area of south Somerset contains much of interest, including gardens, historic houses and sites, the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum. Information about access to many cycle routes and numerous walks, including the Parrett Trail, is available from reception.

One heated and well maintained toilet block is fully equipped and includes some washbasins in cabins and free hot showers. No facilities for disabled visitors. Washing machine and dryer. Small shop with local produce, local cider and beer. Play area. Fishing permits from reception. Enclosed dog exercise area.

From A303 between Ilchester and Ilminster turn north at roundabout signed South Petherton. At T-junction in middle of village, turn right towards Martock. Park is at Parrett Works midway between the two villages (about 1.5 miles from South Petherton).
