Alan Rogers Review
Situated just off the A259 coast road on Romney Marsh, this is an ideal base for exploring the south coast area as well as making a good stopover to and from the Dover ferries and the Folkestone Channel Tunnel terminal. There are 47 level grass pitches all with optional 16A electricity hook-ups. The site also has three camping cabins to rent. Romney Meadows is a small site with a homely and charming atmosphere - the local steam railway station can be found in New Romney only 5 mins drive away.
A good sized overnight area for late arrivals can be reached even when the barriers are down. Although the busy A259 is close, there is minimal noise from the traffic.
Single wooden toilet and shower block includes basic accessible sanitary facilities. Motorhome services. Fridge and freezer in the kitchen cabin are available for use. Privately owned café open peak times. Excellent tourist information room. WiFi (free).
From Dover follow Folkestone A259 through New Romney, turn left B2075, site is 700 yds on right. From Hastings follow coast road A259 through Rye to Lydd on B2075, past Lydd airport, site is 1 mile on left.Link to campsite location map on google
