Alan Rogers Review

Ridge Farm is basically a level, grass field with 60 pitches (half of which have electricity) and provides a peaceful ‘back to nature’ retreat in the beautiful Purbeck countryside. With its close proximity to the River Frome, coastline and beaches, this is an ideal location for walking and cycling and particularly birdwatching with the Arne RSPB reserve next door. The neighbouring Ridge Wharf Yacht Centre provides the perfect opportunity for boat launching. Within a short drive you’ll find many interesting places to visit including Corfe Castle, Studland Bay and Swanage.

Bournemouth is nearby for shopping and entertainment. Further afield is Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World and Thomas Hardy’s Cottage.

One basic and unheated toilet block with showers is clean but in need of modernisation. No facilities for disabled visitors or babies. Small launderette. Small shop for basics (limited hours). No site lighting. Dogs are not accepted in July/Aug.
