Alan Rogers Review
This is a popular site with those who like a peaceful life with no on-site entertainment, just fresh air and beautiful countryside. The site is only a short drive from the magnificent Llyn Brianne reservoir and close to the Dinas RSPB nature reserve, where a two mile trail runs through oak and alder woodland alongside the River Tywi, and the wildlife includes many species of birds such as red kites. The site is in a sheltered valley with 90 pitches on level grass, 51 electricity hook-ups (16A) and 21 hardstandings.
The village is within walking distance although there is a fairly steep hill to negotiate (but the return is much easier), and you can take a short cut through the woodland grove dedicated to John Lloyd, a former Chairman of the Club.
The single heated sanitary block is kept very clean and tidy and includes facilities for disabled visitors. Some washbasins in cubicles, dishwashing sinks and fully equipped laundry. Drive-over motorhome service point. Shop for essentials. Small playground with rubber base. Payphone (no mobile signal). WiFi. Lodges for sale and to rent.
