Alan Rogers Review
This is a small, level park close to Loch Alsh with a wooded hillside behind (criss-crossed with woodland walks). Set mainly on well cut grass, it is sheltered from the prevailing winds by the hill and provides just 45 numbered pitches. There are 10A electrical connections and 35 hardstandings (two without electricity). Tents you can stand in are not accepted. Small tents are permitted at the discretion of the owner, so it would be advisable to telephone first if this affects you.
Awnings are not permitted during July and August in order to protect the grass. The ground can be stony so there could be problems with tent pegs. Reraig makes a good base from which to explore the area, the Isle of Skye and the pretty village of Plockton with its palm trees (remember Hamish Macbeth on TV?)
Facilities
The single sanitary block is kept immaculately clean. Children have their own low washbasins. Controllable hot showers accept tokens which are free for guests (1 token for 2 minutes). Sinks for laundry and dishwashing. A slope replaces the small step into the ladies and sink rooms. Motorhome drainage point. WiFi throughout.
