Alan Rogers Review

This park is aimed very much at those who enjoy riding. The site has 35 stables available, so you can bring your own horse but there is no livery service. Groot Bartje has 100 touring pitches on three circular, grassy fields and two smaller fields to the side. The middle field has 36 spacious, level pitches on grass, with shade from mature trees. All are equipped with 16A electricity, water, waste water and cables. To the front of the site is an open-air pool with separate paddling pool and small water slide. Behind reception there is a training facility for horses, including rodeo training.

The site is on the edge of the Drents Friese Wold National Park, where you can enjoy riding, walking and cycling. Close by is the village of Diever, where you can visit the open-air Shakespeare theatre where plays are performed during summer.

One good toilet block with underfloor heating, toilets, washbasins and preset hot showers (5 minutes free). Baby room. Facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry with washing machines and dryers. Basics and bread from reception. Snack bar (daily in season). Pool (15x10 m) with slide and paddling pool. Tennis. Riding. Bicycle hire. Playground. Torch useful. Animation (high season). WiFi (free around reception and comfort pitches).
