Alan Rogers Review
De Potten is a good choice for lovers of watersports. This campsite is located on a peninsula on the Sneekermeer. The site has its own marina with boat launching facilities (charge applies). All manner of water transport is on offer here: motorboats, rowing boats, sailing boats, canoes, and more besides! Sailing lessons are organised (from eight years old), and include special family sessions. The 300 touring pitches are large and grassy, have 10A electricity connections and limited shade. Many have fine views across the lake. There are 13 chalets (with wooden terraces), 50 villas and 30 bungalows to rent, many with great lake views.
There are several good play areas for children around the site, and no doubt the one with a pirate theme complete with a pirate ship, The Bounty, will be a favourite. Additional facilities include trampolines, minigolf, basketball and a unique round table tennis table! The restaurant here is spacious, with a varied menu, and has an attractive lake view - an enjoyable place to end the day.
Clean toilet facilities with preset showers, washbasins and cabins and toilets. Launderette. Restaurant with lake view, bar and snack bar. Bakery. Sports area. Play area with giant chess and draughts. Tennis. Minigolf. Trampolines. Boats, bicycles and go-karts for hire. Sailing school for children (from 8 years) and for adults.
