Alan Rogers Review
Polruan is a rural site in an elevated position on the opposite side of the river to Fowey and 200 metres from the Coastal Path. There are marvellous sea views. This is a well maintained, delightful little site with just 37 touring pitches and six holiday caravans to let. The holiday homes are arranged in a neat circle, with a central area for seven adults only tourer pitches on gravel hardstanding, all with 16A electricity and one fully serviced. An adjacent meadow has 15 pitches for motorcaravans and tents, all with electricity and a third area has 10 tent only pitches (eight with electricity). This park is in a popular tourist area, within walking distance down a steep hill to the village and the passenger ferry to Fowey.
A raised picnic area gives more views across the estuary to Fowey. A member of the Countryside Discovery group.
The fully equipped, heated toilet block has modern, controllable showers large enough for an adult and child. Laundry room. Range of recycling bins. Reception with a small terrace and shop for everyday items. Gas. Microwave. Hot drinks machine and freezer for ice packs. Sloping field area with swings for children. Max. 2 dogs. Free phone charging. WiFi throughout (free).
