Pentewan Sands is a very popular, well managed family park with an ideal position right beside a wide sandy private beach. A busy, 32-acre holiday park with lots going on, there are 584 pitches, 462 for touring, 412 with 16A electricity. The good sized pitches are marked and numbered on level grass but with nothing between them. A modern, heated indoor pool with a paddling pool is inside the Beach Club, with a gym, kids’ zone and a new bar and restaurant. The bar and restaurant are open all day and serve food in high season.
A full entertainment programme, beach activities, scuba diving, windsurfing courses and a club for children are organised. Jet-skis are not permitted and 4WD vehicles are not allowed on the beach. The Pentewan Valley Trail, a six mile route for cycling or walking follows the old carriageway to Mevagissey with its throngs of tourists (two miles by the main road). The park and the beach have been owned by the Tremayne family for over 60 years.
