Alan Rogers Review

Penmarlam is situated high above the estuary opposite Fowey, close to the village of Bodinnick which is famous for being the home of Daphne du Maurier. The original field is level and sheltered with 29 pitches which are semi-divided by bushes. The newer field with 34 pitches has a slight slope, is divided with wild banks and enjoys good countryside views. Both fields have circular access roads. All pitches have 16A electricity and 14 also have water and drainage. The modern reception, shop and the toilet facilities are well situated between the two fields.

Reception is fitted with a loop system for deaf visitors and the owner can ‘sign’ as well as speaking French, Spanish and some German! Internet access is provided here, with wireless access from the pitches. Some of our readers will be attracted by easy access to a slipway and boat moorings near the park entrance, This also makes for a pleasant walk with picnic tables overlooking the river.
